A Brief Summary of This Position:

The Production Scheduler is responsible for logically and accurately scheduling and reviewing finished goods and components through all phases of the manufacturing areas. The Production Scheduler coordinates customer information to the production floor and ensures that ship dates are met. The incumbent analyzes and review various reports and tools to seek resolution to issues with minimal supervision. The incumbent will have a key role in coordinating the production of product and ensuring efficiency within the department. The Production Scheduler will communicate with various levels of staff regarding any changes to production to ensure customer satisfaction as well as ensure downtime is kept to a minimum.

Essential Functions:

• Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer orders, inventory levels, and production capacity.

• Review and provide guidance on potential scenarios that could hinder production plan.

• Coordinate with production managers to prioritize production activities and allocate resources effectively.

• Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.

• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in demand or resource availability.

• Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts or constraints to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.

• Utilize scheduling tools (IFS PLANNING BILLS , DRP) to optimize production schedules and improve overall productivity.

• Communicate production schedules and updates to relevant stakeholders, including production teams, management, and project management

• Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and work with production team to implement correct actions

• Participate in production meetings to provide insights and recommendations for improving production processes and workflows.

• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in all production scheduling activities.

• Focus on Continuous improvement and implementation of best practices

• Review and resolve MRP exceptions as needed.

• Analyze and provide authorization of customer improvement requests.

• This position reports to the Operation Planner, with dash-line report to the Plant Manager. This position does not have any direct or indirect reports.

• This role does not require travel

Other Important Details about the Role:

• Reordering of lost and scrapped parts as needed

• Provide assistance with production team around technical or production needs.

• Provide assistance/back up to Dispatcher, and other departments as needed.

• Builds collaboration between various departments to ensure strategic and logistical needs are met in a timely fashion.

Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (especially Excel).

• ERP / IFS experience strongly desired.

• Ability to work independently, stay organized and prioritize work activities.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Proven experience in production scheduling or manufacturing planning

• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.

• Experience with process optimization and efficiency improvement initiatives is a plus.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, with a proactive and results-driven attitude.

Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in relevant field or Associates degree with 3+ years of experience or 5+ years of relevant experience
