A Brief Summary of This Position:

We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Manager with electromechanical controls and components experience who will be responsible for the efficient, safe, and profitable operation of the Hydrus Manufacturing Department, as well as providing leadership and direction to the manufacturing team, while satisfying all quality, productivity, cost, and delivery requirements. This position is located at the ICII Corporate Headquarters in Daphne, AL.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides expert level design and technical support for electrical controls related to the center pivot market.

  • Responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the Hydrus Manufacturing Department, including production scheduling, order entry, and Bill of Material (BOM) control.

  • In charge of overall manufacturing of Control Panels (CP), Tower Boxes (TB), and other electrical equipment.

  • Works closely with Engineering, Marketing and Product Management on New Product Development (NPD) projects in the areas of electrical controls and systems integration.

  • Purchasing and inventory management focused cost control and rationalization.

  • Responsible for adopting/developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), utilization 5S and other Lean Mfg. concepts.

  • Use company ERP and other software systems required to execute the various job functions.

  • Manages employees and provides feedback regarding expectations, quality concerns, and production activities.

  • Identifies training needs; meets with staff regularly to encourage teamwork and group effort.

  • Ensures production schedules and requirements are being met; generate production reports, maintain finished good and WIP inventories, complies daily output, yield and scrap reports.

  • Establishes and executes on continuous improvement plans related to position responsibilities.

  • Provides and maintains equipment and processes that are capable of producing products and assemblies, which meet all customer requirements.

  • Ensures the Company provides a safe and clean work environment at all times.

  • Coordinates production activities with other departments.

  • Use company ERP and other software systems required to execute the various job functions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associated Degree in related field

  • At least 5 years of management and manufacturing experience of electrical components (preferred)

  • Experience with mechanical move controls and electrical components (preferred)

  • Self-motivated, responsible, accountable and mature, with a desire to excel.

  • Ability to move throughout the facility (with or without reasonable accommodation), stand, and sit for extended periods of time

  • Ability to lift 40lbs without assistance

  • Strong communication, organizational, problem solving, teamwork interpersonal, and leadership skills

Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field

  • Prior wiring or electrical experience

  • 7-10 years of management and manufacturing experience of electrical components

Working Environment and Physical Efforts:

Work is typically performed in an office setting. The incumbent is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time, as well as talk and listen on the phone and in personal conversations or meetings. Environment is fast paced and demanding most of the time. No travel requirements for this position. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms while working in the office with various files and forms and while working on the computer. The employee is occasionally required to move about the office. Incumbent must utilize proper ergonomic safeguards such as monitor height and positions, keyboard location and height and proper wrists rests. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds in working with large files, binders, and computer equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
