A Brief Summary of This Position:
Valmont is seeking a talented individual to support Robotic Process Automation (RPA) within Valmont. This position will join a forming Center of Excellence within the Technology Innovation team and support delivery of potentially automatable processes. Other tasks include process discovery, process documentation and intake, interfacing with a managed service vendor, and developing some automation. While in this RPA SME role, you will help evaluate process candidates and train business users on the tools to become self-sufficient. The Process Automation Analyst will also be responsible for sharing best practices and working with cross-functional teams on outward communication and training development.
This position reports into the Director, Technology Solutions and has no direct or indirect reports
This role requires up to 10% travel domestically and internationally, including overnight stays
Hybrid, flexible schedule with ability to report to the office 2-3 days per week
Use RPA tools to solve problems with guidance from business leaders
Facilitate the evaluation and intake process for potential RPA targets
Partner with managed service provider to plan, develop and deliver RPA use cases
Educate Valmont management and employees on the advantages and disadvantages of using RPA
Train employees on how to identify and standardize potential tasks, create simple bots, and scale the technology
Effectively measure, track, and communicate value delivered with each use case automated
Other Important Details about the Role:
Collaborate with other industry RPA experts to identify new features, technologies, and best practices
Maintain knowledge of cutting edge and emerging technologies that can improve current business flows
Support Valmont in digital transformation and expansion of automation program
Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
Preferred Bachelors in a technology or business information technology field with 3+ years relevant experience or Associates Degree with 5+ years relevant experience or 7+ years of relevant experience
3+ years of hands-on experience in robotic process automation with knowledge of implementing and maintaining bots
2+ years project or program management experience with familiarity of Agile project methodologies
Ability to understand and document business processes and impact concisely; evaluating and recommending opportunities for improvement
Experience working with/training citizen developers and ability to communicate complex insights to a business-facing audience
Experience working with a managed service provider/development vendor to collaborate on delivering shared goals

Working Environment and Physical Efforts:
Work is typically performed in an office setting. The incumbent is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time, as well as talk and listen on the phone and in personal conversations or meetings. Environment is fast paced and demanding most of the time. 10% travel requirements for this position that will include overnight stays. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms while working in the office with various files and forms and while working on the computer. The employee is occasionally required to move about the office. Incumbent must utilize proper ergonomic safeguards such as monitor height and positions, keyboard location and height and proper wrists rests. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds in working with large files, binders, and computer equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
