Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Shot blast poles using a shot blast hose
Maintain and operate shot blasting equipment properly and safely
Pull and read product blue prints for blast knowledge
Ensure high quality products with visual quality check
Complete appropriate paperwork/log books
Assist in masking/taping and UV as needed
Assist in Crane Operation as needed
May train as back up painter
Work closely with the Long Side Finishing Department
Wear required personal protective equipment including supplied air hood (Must pass an online medical evaluation and extended testing if needed)
Follow facility safety regulations
Maintain a safe and productive working environment
Additional Responsibilities:
Pay attention to detail and follow work instructions
Calculate simple mathematics and accurately read a tape measure
Communicate and interact with coworkers in a positive manner
Be a team player in a diverse group assisting in other areas/in other ways as needed or when idle.
Be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
Job Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
Previous experience with sandblasting, shot blasting or auto painting required
Must be mechanically and technically inclined
Able to read, write, and calculate simple mathematics.
Able to pay attention to detail and understand/follow instructions
Able to train and apply training in the paint department
Able to communicate and interact with coworkers in a positive manner
Able to recognize and solve practical problems or issues
Able to work in a team environment with a diverse group of people
Able to communicate problems and ideas effectively to co-workers, supervisors, and managers.
Minimum six months experience using a forklift and/or overhead crane
Minimum six months experience sandblasting or shot blasting
Must be able to work with minimal supervision

Physical Requirements:
Able to lift up to 50 lbs,
Able stand, walk, sit, bend, squat, stoop, push, pull, reach, grasp, hold and carry for various periods of time
Able to wear required PPE at all times: Hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, reflective vest, long sleeves, long pants, steel toed boots with built in met guards, fresh air feed hood, face shield
Job Summary:
Employee will complete a variety of tasks in the Corrocote department including shot blasting, general clean up, tape/masking, UVing, reading prints and completing paperwork. Must follow all processes, procedures and regulations and maintain the highest of standards including no damage to product and/or equipment. Must wear PPE at all times, arrive on time, work the required schedule each week and report any damage or issues to the department supervisor immediately. Must be aware of surroundings at all times, including coworkers.
