A Brief Summary of This Position:
This individual contributor role drives sales growth for the Bridge product portfolio, meeting revenue targets and fostering relationships with users, contractors, and design firms. Responsibilities include promoting product knowledge and acceptance, building key relationships, and strategizing customer projects. The ideal candidate has expertise in short-span bridge structures and procurement processes within transportation and construction.
Territory: TX , OK, MS, NM, LA, AR
Essential Functions:
Travel up to 50% domestically
Reports to the National Sales Director for U-BEAMTM Bridge Systems
Cultivates relationships with engineering firms and clients
Offers customer specification support
Illustrates product superiority over competitors
Recommends product modifications to align with customer needs
Generates weekly reports on activities and opportunities
Acts as a technical resource for internal and external customers
Consistently meets or exceeds revenue goals
Provides accurate market intelligence and forecasts
Develops a sales rep organization in the assigned area
Maintains skills in motivating, training, time management, negotiation, and more
Provides Voice of the Customer feedback
Supports new product launches
Maintains strong customer relationships
Attends sales meetings, conferences, and trade shows
Other Important Details:
Responsible for customer communications and new client development
Main point of contact for key customers
Focuses on forecasting, price management, and competitive analysis
Leads proposal process and contract negotiations
Manages Rep relationships and performance
Drives engagement of all product families
Evaluate training needs and coordinate internal resources
Completes pre-bid profiles and follows up on bids
Evaluate Rep commission structure quarterly
Completes quarterly territory and account plans
Required Qualifications of Every Candidate:
Bachelors with 6+ years of experience in a sales management position with increasing levels of account and regional/territory management responsibilities; or Associates Degree with 8+ years relevant experience; or 10+ years of relevant experience
Experience managing rep firms and executing account strategies
Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
Ability to travel up to 50% domestically
Valid US driver’s license
Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications:
Ten years of sales management experience
Understanding of channels of distribution and relationships in various market segments
Knowledge of the bridge marketplace and its overlap with lighting and traffic spaces
