Join Valmont Utility, a segment of Valmont Industries, Inc., as a Sales Manager for our innovative solar technology solutions. This role is pivotal in leading and managing sales for the Convert TRJ Solar Tracker within a specific area. We're seeking a dynamic sales professional with a proven track record of driving business development, closing deals, and exceeding revenue goals. As part of our global manufacturing infrastructure, Valmont Utility is committed to providing cutting-edge solar technology options to meet the growing demand for renewable energy solutions.

Essential functions include developing business relationships, contributing to sales planning, analyzing market trends, and managing customer communications. Travel up to 50%, primarily domestic, is required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors with 6+ years relevant experience or Associates Degree with 8+ years relevant experience or 10+ years of relevant experience

  • Demonstrated proficiency in developing and executing account strategies, adeptly navigating customer negotiations, and implementing value-added selling techniques to drive business growth and enhance client relationships.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in sales management, preferably in technical sales within sectors such as renewables, construction, industrial, or manufacturing.

  • Experience in the solar industry, including solar tracker experience and a deep understanding of solar utility system development, procurement, delivery, and construction, particularly with commercial/industrial customers.

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in Colorado and Nebraska is $98,400 - $179,800. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Valmont Industries considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, and market and business considerations when extending an offer. The position will be posted until filled.
