Essential Functions:

  • Operate machinery used in the production process, or assist machine operators

  • Retrieve metal rings from the shop and examine final product to ensure excellent quality in accordance with the company policies

  • Operate different power tools and manufacturing used in manufacturing including stressing jack

  • Packed finished products manually or using hoists

  • Transfer finished products, raw materials, tools and equipment in the storage or work areas in the plant.

  • Measure amounts of products, lengths of extruded articles, or weights of filled containers to ensure conformance to specifications

  • Attached slings, ropes, and cables to objects such as pipes, hoses

  • Assist with the fabrication and assembling of the products

  • Compliance with the general OHS and fire safety instructions and workplace instructions

  • Clean general work area and ensure equipment, tools and materials are properly stored

  • Other duties as assigned by the management staff

Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

  • High school diploma highly desirable but not required

  • One year of general labor experience preferably in a manufacturing environment or willing to learn

  • The ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a professional manner

  • The ability to pay attention to detail and follow work instructions

  • The ability to work overtime as needed

  • The ability to work in extreme temperatures with exposure to chemicals and irritating particulates

  • The ability to recognize and solve practical problems

Work Environment and Physical Efforts:

Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable. Able to balance; bend/stoop; climb stairs; crawl; crouch; climb ladders; kneel; push/pull; reach above shoulder; repetitive motion; squat, and feel. Complete repetitive movements. Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable. Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds. Requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/air conditions and around dust. Exposure to hazards in the work environment such as chemicals, oil, power industrial vehicles.
