Valmont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the Finisher position in the Global Utility Division. We are looking for a highly driven individual that will batch and organize concrete and ensure high quality standards of each concrete batch. Additionally, you will…

  • Patch, repair, and clean finished product. Install required hardware.

  • Operate Hammer Drill or Core Drill to install thru holes in finished product.

  • Set up and attach loads to rigging, hoists, and pulling gear to provide support or prepare them for moving, using hand and power tools.

  • Dismantle and store rigging equipment after use.

  • Manipulate rigging lines, hoists and pulling gear to move or support materials such as concrete utility poles and heavy equipment.

  • Select gear such as cables, pulleys and winches, according to load weights and sizes, as well as work schedules.

  • Signal or verbally direct workers engaged inhoisting and moving loads, in order to ensure safety of workers and materials.

  • Test rigging to ensure safety and reliability.

What it takes

Required Qualifications

  • The ability to accurately use and read a tape measure

  • The ability to perform basic math functions such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing

  • The ability to recognize and solve practical problems or issues

  • The ability to accurately read and follow written and verbal instructions

  • The ability to identify and communicate maintenance or product problems to departmental supervision

  • The ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety

  • Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results

  • Ability to attention to detail

Knowledge, and Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent desirable but not required

  • One year of previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment

  • One year of previous experience operating a forklift in a professional environment
